WWF – KCA Seminar held at Multan on 12.06.2019
WWF in collaboration with the KCA has planned to facilitate Cotton Trade by providing exceptional services of Cotton Sales / Purchase Contract, Arbitration and awareness on importance of Quality Matters in Cotton Contract etc., to the Cotton Stake Holder so that Safe Trading Practices be adopted to build confidence among entire cotton Chain.
In this connection, WWF along with IKEA hold nos. of meetings with the Chairman, Vice Chairman, former Chairman, KCA and the Assistant Secretary (Stats) to identify the areas to be discussed in the proposed Seminar to be arranged in MULTAN for the Ginners, Textile Mills, Agents, Brokers etc. of Southern Punjab.
Research work were started and alternate day’s internal meetings were held along with other prominent Cotton Buying Houses to incorporate wide range of ideas. The KCA addressed the following areas through multimedia presentations.
1. Role & Functions of the Karachi Cotton Association.

2. Key Note Addresses on Challenges to the Cotton Trade.

3. Contents of Cotton Sales / Purchase Contract

4. Quality Matters in Cotton Contract.

WWF and the KCA conducted a well-planned Seminar on 12.06.2019 at Hotel Ramada, Multan on “A step towards “PROMOTING THE SUSTAINABLE PROCUREMENT MECHANISM” ‘BOLL TO BALE PROJECT’. About 100 delegates from all walk of Cotton Trade from Punjab, participated in the said Seminar. That was a unique Event in the history of the KCA and the KCA leadership with the logistics support & collaboration of the WWF had conducted successfully that Seminar in Multan.
The Executive Committee in its meetings especially appreciated the services & efforts made by Mr. Muhammad Ali, Assistant Secretary (Stats), the KCA for proper research and prepared the above Multimedia Presentations for the KCA leadership which were delivered at the seminar and also maintained well coordination among WWF & KCA leadership.
The KCA Event was well appreciated by all the Stake holder, the WWF, IKEA and Participants of the Seminar.
